I Got That Water

In the vegan lifestyle, food and exercise are two major pillars.  A component people tend to forget about is water consumption. Your body is already 70% water but the water we’re composed of doesn’t count towards our daily requirement. Consuming your required amount of water will have an array of benefits outside of daily performance.

The recommended amount of water for daily consumption is half of your body weight in ounces. If you weigh 200lb you need 100oz of water. Drinking enough water is a task and may not always be achievable so on any given day if you can’t drink half your body weight in ounces, the bare minimum of water you need is 64oz. The old “8 8oz glasses” line.

Consuming your proper water amount will assist your body internally in functioning more efficiently. It aids in digestion, regulates body temperature and helps get rid of waste. Externally, water hydrates your skin and makes it softer and more elastic. Water also can make your hair appear shinier and softer by hydrating your hair follicles at the root.

There are many reasons to monitor your daily water consumption. Water keeps you regular and your body needs it to function at a high rate. Outside of the benefits it has on your insides, water also affects physical appearance with skin and hair both flourishing with the proper hydration.
