The holidays are here and here come the desserts! This time of year is a great way to keep your fruit intake up as we get into the colder months. Here are some ideas for baking as well as vegan options to buy at the store to bake before you sit down in front of your favorite holiday movie or family Zoom call!
Berry Pie, a great choice! Marie Callender’s Razzleberry Fruit Pie!
Here is the description from their website and if you can believe it there is no butter, eggs, or milk involved:
“You'll love this pairing of ripe, red raspberries and sweet, juicy blackberries, baked in our signature extra-flaky, made-from-scratch pastry crust. Pop it in the oven for an easy bake and serve warm with ice cream or whipped [coconut] cream!”
You can find this pie and other vegan friendly ones in the frozen section at your local grocery store!
Cheesecake Time!
Try a vegan cheesecake and top with your own berry compote of strawberries and blueberries! If you don’t plan on baking then check out Eli’s Cheesecakes, especially their “Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake Cuties” or the Daiya brand of vegan cheesecakes sold nationwide.
